We were fortunate enough to observe a lunar eclipse. Marian is fascinated by the moon so I was very eager to show it to her. I even sketched out the earth, moon and sun to try and explain the goings on. Although it was not a very exciting lunar eclipse, it certainly left an indelible impression on Marian. I gradually showed her the moon as it was getting eaten up by the Earth. Her expression was not of a gradual increase in wonderment but a worried look descended her and culminated in a crying mess.
She must have felt very scared of the increasing likelihood of her beloved moon disappearing forever from her life. Did I neglect to mention that the moon will reemerge?
